Rachelmclaughlin Bio

After many years teaching to support my practice, I have finely decided to commit full time to my Art practice. Inspired by my home in Devon and my Asian travels, with a strength in observational work, I have recently progressed to abstraction. The culture of China, Vietnam and Cambodia are my starting point for this departure from figurative work; to investigate more the atmosphere then the detail, more the essence than the object. With more travels planned I have recently moved back to Devon and am now working locally.
